The Private Tutorial

Professor Schmitt has agreed to supervise a private tutorial for no more than 10 students for both the Winter 2010 and Summer 2010 bar exams.

Cost: $6,500

Eligibility: The private tutorial is open to any student who failed the California bar examination and took a bar review program in preparation for the bar exam other than the L.E.C.C. program.  The student must be able and willing to devote two full months of time to study for the bar exam.

Guarantee: None

Curriculum: The curriculum will consist of all the substantive materials used in the Guaranteed Bar Review, including substantive lectures, essay writing, performance skills, and multistate workshops.  It will be the student's responsibility to keep pace with the Guaranteed Bar Review schedule.

Professor Schmitt will personally review your past bar exam answers and provide a critique of your performance.  All of your practice examinations will be graded by Professor Schmitt.

In addition to the exams given in the Guaranteed program, the private tutorial student will be permitted to write an un‑limited amount of additional essays and performance tests.  Weekly progress meetings with Professor Schmitt will be scheduled.

Private tutorial students will have free access to our audio and video tape library on a schedule agreed to by the student and Professor Schmitt.

Note: Students considering any private tutorial, with us or with any other program, should carefully review the materials and program of study provided by the tutor.  It is our experience that many students have been lured into tutorials with promises that were not forthcoming.  Caveat emptor.
