Guaranteed Writing

The writing portion of the California Bar Exam (essay and performance tests) is now worth 65% of the final score. Because of the importance of this portion of the exam, we are running our Guaranteed Writing only courses for repeat bar applicants. This course is limited to 20 students not otherwise enrolled in our full program. It is also available on a Home Study program. Guaranteed Writing students attend the six Essay Writing Workshops and six Performance Skills Workshops given in the live course.

Dates:

For the February bar exam, the workshop dates are:
Essays: December 12, 19, January 2, 9, 16, 27, 30, February 13
Performance Skills: December 13, 20, January 3, 10, 17, 24

For the July bar exam, the workshop dates are:
Essays: May 29, June 5, 12, 19, 26, July 3, 10
Performance Skills: May 27, June 3, 10, 17, 24, July 1

Materials: The materials provided include our Flashcards, Substantive Outlines, and over 130 past bar questions with suggested answers. Repeaters are guaranteed that their essays will improve, and first time participants are guaranteed to pass the essay portion of the exam. Students enrolled in this course have passed at 75% the last twenty times it has been offered.

Repeaters: Please obtain your exams from the Committee of Bar Examiners as soon as possible and mail them to our main office. Professor Schmitt and our graders will critique these exams for your benefit.
